National Board Certification - 1st Time Candidates
After registering with the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards and the MSU World Class Teaching Program you will be provided support from the beginning of your journey until certification.
Component Sessions - The introduction sessions will have you chart the elements of the component. A component specialist will lead the session(s) as you explore the propositions and standards you will evidence in each component portfolio. The elements of the scoring guide will be highlighted to ensure your understanding of the evidence of your accomplished teaching practice to be featured in your submissions for Components 1, 2, and 3.
Certificate Area Candidate Support Provider - You will be part of a cohort led by a candidate support provider. Our candidate support providers are national board certified in your certificate area (as possible) and will be available to answer questions and provide feedback on your submissions.
Component 1 Preparation - MSU World Class Teaching Program will lead session preparation workshops in the spring.
