Why did you choose to become a teacher?

I come from a long line of educators and had several influential teachers in my life. I wanted to share my love of music with the next generation and make a difference in students' lives.

Why did you choose to become a National Board Certified Teacher?

I wanted to not only grow as an educator but to also have a positive impact on my students' learning.

What have you learned from being a National Board Certified Teacher?

Completing the process has made me a much more reflective educator.  I learned a lot about my teaching practice, and in turn, my students have grown.
